Architecture Preview
SENSORY OVERLOAD:
I agree with the statement. I think that you can tell much more about a person by looking at what is in their lives. Not just the stuff they own, but the people they are surrounded with. I think that buildings are a defining aspect in terms of environment, and that architecture is diverse and interesting, but without objects within that building... it's just a blank plane. This doesn't change anything about my photography, because I take pictures of pretty much everything. I sometimes want to capture a person through an image, and sometimes I just want to take an eye-pleasing photograph of nature.I DEFINITELY want to visit the commodity city. There are so many things to take pictures of.
To be a child in this vast place would be interesting. Everyday would be a new adventure, which I'm totally up to.
My favorite photo was the overstuffed fabric booth. There were so many colors and patterns in the picture that my eyes had a hard time adjusting (an actual sensory overload..ha), but I liked it. I think the sensation was the point of the picture, because I imagine that is what one feels when they walk through commodity city.

LA PEDRERA

7. I've been slightly obsessed with Barcelona architecture for a while. So, of course La Pedrera is on my list of "buildings I want to bask in the glory of." I really like the curves and interesting angles of La Pedrera.

It was originally conceived as his master's thesis in architecture and then built as a pavilion for Expo 67, the World's Fair 7. I liked how the building looks modern, but not futuristic. The muted colors of the exterior give off a pueblo style feel. Because I don't like completely glass/silver buildings (too futuristic-reminds me of a scifi film), I appreciate architecture that looks more "old style".

7. I thought the architecture was extremely interesting, and wondered how it was built. I think it is an oddity, but nevertheless quite a special building that I would like to go see. I imagine that it stands out among the other buildings on that street.
